MONA’s ongoing collaboration with Deichtorhallen Hamburg⁠—one of Europe's largest art centers for contemporary art and photography⁠—includes two commissioned video series created for the group exhibitions ›Survival in the 21st Century‹ (May 18-November 5, 2024) and ›States of Rebirth‹ (February 21-August 17, 2025).

For ›Survival in the 21st Century‹, MONA produced videos featuring Yalda Afsah, Paul Kolling and Trevor Paglen. Each artist welcomed us into their studio, providing insight into both their works in the exhibition and their broader artistic practice. Our latest video—a studio visit with Isaac Chong Wai—similarly delves into his two artworks in ›States of Rebirth‹ while exploring his wider creative process.
